Broadbent Maths - creative primary maths

Maths subject leader

As the Maths Subject Leader you will be turned to for support and guidance, as well as acting as a role model for the staff and children as you champion maths in your school.

These pages will provide some useful information and files for you to use, either to help you as you develop mathematics across the school or to give ideas for support for your staff.

Having deep subject knowledge is also an important element of your role so these pages will also help you in this, with support in your knowledge and understanding of pedagogy and the curriculum.

Approach to planning

Be creative, with problem solving, reasoning and data handling a part of every unit. It is a great way to teach and learn these areas meaningfully and lends itself to a cross-curricular approach to teaching around a context.
